Browsers, such as Firefox and Chrome, will sometimes display a blank page or large white space where a video player should be in your Canvas courses. You might also notice that links do not work on a website that is displaying in Canvas. This is due to the browser’s security restriction which occurs when unsecured content from another site (with the http prefix) is embedded within the secured (https) Canvas site. Whenever you see this occurring, check the browser address bar to see if there is a tiny shield icon present as shown in these images.
