A common complaint when visiting the Clark Blackboard site, is the warning screen some will see about the site’s security certificate. The best solution for browsers which display this nag screen is to add an exception for Clark.Blackboard.com when prompted. Clark’s Blackboard certificate is valid and good until 2011. For those geeks who are extra wary, here is a handy tool for diagnosing incidents like this:
Type in https://clark.blackboard.com and click Check Site for a full report

Regarding the Blackboard security warning screen…
You just say suppress it. Why is the warning being raised??
Why not just fix the issue that causes the warning?
Now, about the above box labeled Website. I’m replying to the post directly above this reply dialogue – Really – What website do you suppose I’m refering to?
That’s a very good question, Scott… Why not just fix the issue that causes the warning, is one I’ve posed to Blackboard many times, because it was their choice to buy an inexpensive certificate from what apparently is a substandard company. This is something Blackboard clientele have to put up with or go elsewhere. The elsewhere might be worth discussing, since colleges pay a premium for Blackboard. So any students out there with experience on less expensive alternatives (like open sourced Moodle or Sakai) and what your thoughts are when comparing products, would be very welcome.
As far as the website box you’re referring to – If you had a website or blog site you wished to share with us, that is where you would enter it. It might seem a little strange, but welcome to the world of blogs… Really
