A very smart move is to change your Blackboard password from the default first assigned to you, to something more secure and that you’ll remember. Also, when you’re using a public computer – such as in a campus computer lab or library, be sure to log yourself out of Blackboard, because it won’t do that for you automatically. Otherwise, your classes, contributions, and hard work will be left for the next person to ponder.
Here’s how to change your password…
First you need to login to Blackboard. Then in the Tools panel on the left hand side of the screen, click Personal Information.
In the Personal Information panel, click Change Password.
Finally, enter your new password and click Submit.
If you’re experiencing login issues with an established Blackboard account and had previously entered a valid email address in your Personal Information area, you may reset your own password by using the Forgot Your Password? reset utility on the Blackboard login page. Your new password will be sent to the email address you had entered in Blackboard.
If you’re experiencing login issues with a new account, then file a Tech Ticket with us right away, asking for a password reset.
